Misterios, La Casa de La Mente

La cultura Tz`utujil no solo cuenta con hermosos paisajes, volcanes y el lago, un legado milenario, historias sorprendentes, lugares sagrados que junto a los abuelos son testigos de un largo camino e historias ancestrales sin conocer.

Si algo esta en peligro de perder….es el origen y ese camino que recorrieron los antepasados de esta cultura muy valiosa, que tienen mucho que contar y enseñar, nuestra visión es que los pueblos mayas Tz`utujil sean fieles a su origen que practiquen y transmitan; la cultura la tradición y el idioma a los descendientes.

El proyecto investiga, estudia y recauda todas la informaciones a través de los únicos y últimos abuelos que mantienen las historias vivas de la cultura Tz`utujil para los hijos y el mundo.

San Juan is an old Mayan village that has withstood the test of time.  It is situated below the majestic “Cerro K`istalin” or “Rostro Maya”, the face in the mountain, believed to have been protecting the Tz´utujil people below fo centuries. San Juan is also a village where time and conservative living has allowed the passing of customs and traditions from one generation to the next, mostly untouched. More than 500 years ago San Juan came to be after the long night that the Mayan people had predicted. The sun is now arising anew, and the seed that will show the world our way of life, our cosmo-vision and our virtues, will begin to grow. We hope you’ll witness this with us!
